Terms and Conditions – Courier App/Website

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation as a Courier on the Expedex CC Pick & Drop platform (the “Platform”).

By registering as a Courier or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.


1. Definitions

  • Courier / Driver: A registered individual or entity using the Platform to provide delivery services.
  • Customer: A person who requests delivery through the Platform.
  • Order: A delivery request accepted by a Courier.
  • Company / We / Us: Expedex CC the operator of the Platform.

2. Relationship Between the Parties

  • Couriers operate as independent contractors, not employees or agents of the Company.
  • You are solely responsible for your own tax, insurance, and vehicle maintenance.
  • You may accept or reject delivery requests at your discretion.

3. Account and Eligibility

  • You must be 18 years or older and hold a valid driver’s licence.
  • Your vehicle must be roadworthy and comply with all legal and safety requirements.
  • You must provide accurate personal and contact information.

4. Courier Obligations

  • Deliver items safely, promptly, and in good condition.
  • Treat Customers respectfully and professionally.
  • Refrain from opening, tampering with, or misusing customer parcels.
  • Use the app for legitimate purposes only.
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.

5. Payments and Fees

  • You will earn delivery fees as displayed in the app for each completed order.
  • The Company may deduct a service commission from your earnings for platform use.
  • Payments will be made to your registered account or mobile wallet at specified intervals.
  • You are responsible for any taxes or levies due on your earnings.

6. Cancellations

  • You may cancel an accepted order before pickup only for valid reasons.
  • Frequent or unjustified cancellations may lead to suspension.

7. Insurance and Liability

  • You are responsible for ensuring you have valid insurance coverage.
  • The Company is not liable for accidents, damages, or injuries that occur during deliveries.
  • Couriers are liable for any loss, theft, or negligence that occurs in their custody.

8. Ratings and Conduct

  • Customers may rate your service after each delivery.
  • Repeated poor ratings or misconduct (rudeness, unsafe driving, etc.) may lead to suspension or permanent removal.

9. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you:

  • Breach these Terms;
  • Engage in fraudulent or unsafe behaviour;
  • Misuse customer data or violate confidentiality.

10. Data and Privacy

  • Your data, including location and contact details, will be collected and processed as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
  • Location tracking is required while online for dispatching and order verification.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify the Company from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your actions while providing courier services.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Botswana.

Disputes will be settled through arbitration or the courts of Botswana.
